Founder:

Over the last 12 years, the concepts Power Intelligence® (PI) and the New Success DNA® were developed by Dr. Brenda Hattingh, a registered Psychologist, coach, mentor, lecturer, leadership and management consultant, transformation and change facilitator and educator. The book Power Intelligence: Energizing people and organizations and creating prosperity was published in 1997 and became part of the training material of individuals, business leaders and academics.

Brenda is an inspirational speaker, facilitator, student, teacher and author with wide national and international experience. As a registered Psychologist, Life Coach and Strategist, innovation, leadership and transformational expert, she has extensive experience in utilizing personal, team and organizational potential and developing resources. Brenda specializes in preparing and equipping individuals and organizations for current and future demands and has facilitated change and transformation in various companies, organizations and government institutes.

Academic background:

Dr Brenda Hattingh was born in South Africa, and received the B.Sc. M.Ed. PhD (Psych) degrees from the University of Pretoria. Over the last 20 years, her academic research and development has covered various aspects of human development, change and transformation, Education, Psychology, Industrial Psychology, HR development, physics, metaphysics, futuristic  paradimgs, leadership and management. Brenda has been invited as guest lecturer to various business schools and universities that include the University of Stellenbosch, UNISA School for Business Leadership, North-West University, University of Pretoria and Tshwane University of Technology and lectured in Industrial and Organizational Psychology to M.Com students at RAU. Various academic articles have been published and she was invited as presenter and keynote speaker at conferences in South Africa, Egypt, Belgium and Singapore.

Experience.

Brenda belongs to various national and international professional affiliations. Some of her clients include ABSA, Standard bank, Trans-Namibia, SANLAM, SASOL, Alcatel, The South African Defence Force (SADF) and The South African Police Service (SAPS). Organizations and Companies that have participated in her research include the SADF, SAPS, Telkom, and ABSA. Altech group, Namitech, Alcatel, Transnet, University of the North West, University of Johannesburg, Tshwane University of Technology (TUT), Adams and Adams, McCarthy’s VW, McCarthy’s Mercedes Benz, NISSAN, Intercare Medical Centers and First National Bank.

Various community projects have been launched in Mamelodi, Soweto and Soshanguve that include the development of adult literacy programs, Youth Development Outreach programs and  the development of women entrepreneurs and leaders. Her eight years of work in prisons involved the development of educational and rehabilitation programs while she spent time on the professional counseling of victims. At the same time Brenda was called to provide professional and forensic testimonies in various cases of the High Court of South Africa. Brenda has spend time in schools iand education systems in order to understand the demands of teachers and principals. The academic article as Power Intelligence - Energising Eduation is to soon be published

Over the last decade Brenda has facilitated various merger and strategic planning sessions of national and international companies and organizations. At the same time she has mentored and coached individuals, teams, organizations, business and political leaders. Brenda has written various educational TV scripts and regularly writes articles for magazines and newspapers. She has appeared on TV programs and regularly participates in radio talk shows. Her expertise lies in the understanding of the needs of the time, current challenges of individuals, teams and organizations and providing training and development material that meets the current demands and challenges of the future. Her latest book The New Success DNA focuses on these issues and will be released in October 2009.

Summary

As Managing Director of the Centre for Power Intelligence, Brenda focuses her training on the development of Power Intelligence, utilizing potential and creating success and prosperity for all. The aim is to contribute to developing a new generation of successful, innovative, inspired, thinkers and leaders. She presents workshops nationally and internationally, lectures at various universities and has published various books. For her contributions Brenda received the award as Professional Business Woman of the Year.
